Abstract: Gen-Xer Nicole Weaverson recounts the rotten and the ripe, introducing us to her family and friends while they remind her that not all relationships are meant to last. However, these relationships all do serve a greater purpose. Using a voice that is authentic, raw, and viscerally New Jersey, Nicole’s story pays homage to her ethnic family, the Great Garden State, and the pop- culture from the decades that shaped her generation. This faux memoir is indeed a work of fiction, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or any real events is entirely coincidental. Because, let’s be real, if her story was in fact true, certain characters would be somewhere dead, rotting in the swamps of Jersey.

Author Tracy Amedeo is seeking a literary agent & publication for her debut novel, "Crushed Jersey Tomatoes."
After two graduate degrees, two kids, and two marriages, she wrote her first novel, "Crushed Jersey Tomatoes," a humorous, yet dark, slice of life story that celebrates the value of all our relationships, even the crappy ones.
Tracy's career has been somewhat linear. She became a science teacher after a short-lived career in mental health. Not much different than the psychiatric hospital where she used to work, she transitioned to teaching middle school science and started coaching field hockey. After a solid decade in the classroom, she shifted her career once again, and has thoroughly enjoyed her last several years as a high school guidance counselor. At work, Tracy's energy is spent reassuring young adults that life doesn't always go as planned, and she encourages her students to practice authenticity in all things.
Tracy enjoys time with her family and rescue pup. She is grateful and enjoys her career in public education & in private practice. In her spare time, you'll find her outdoors. She is an avid naturalist. Tracy's president crush is Teddy Roosevelt, and her favorite bagel is the multigrain.
